In.Con.Tra.Da. (In-Contri, Con-taminazioni, Tra-dizioni, Da Sud a Nord) was born in Turin in the 2000s with the aim of promoting the artistic expressions - between music and dance - typical of our South and, more generally, of the the entire Mediterranean basin.
The collective begins to bring together musicians, dancers, artists, creatives and enthusiasts with the specific intent of giving rise to moments of contamination between origins, interests, specificities, to promote the traditional as an element of aggregation. The Turin urban context offers the synthesis between territorial dimension and cultural expression, allowing the In.Con.Tra.Da project to be completed. to make itself an appreciated proposal in the folk panorama: concerts, dance workshops, Southern percussion workshops, shows and events, collaborations with bodies and institutions, educational projects become the concrete representation of the Collective's commitment.
Today In.Con.Tra.Da. proposes - in the most varied contexts - itinerant music shows, music and word shows (where singing and music accompany the story, allowing the linguistic dimension to also be addressed) music shows and group dances to propose and enhance dance as a primordial form of dialogue and relationship.
